Screen B37 (Best overall choice for 2020)
In the interest of transparency, we will tell you the truth here. We have tested hundreds of massage guns and it is impossible to say that a certain model is the best of the best on the market. There are many fantastic massagers, many of which have very similar characteristics, and each of the options on this page will be a great investment in the health of your muscles. Therefore, although this is our main recommendation, we have tested all the products on this site and found that they are all excellent in their own way. We love Ekrin B37 and we will explain why, but take a look at the site and decide for yourself what you want.
You may think it’s the most expensive, but it’s not. Unlike other critics of the massage gun, we didn’t just want to choose the most expensive one. The B37 is one of the most affordable models in terms of specifications. It is priced at under $200 with our exclusive promotional codewith 20% discount.
One of the things we like most about Ekrin is the fantastic customer service. We contact all the companies that manufacture our selected products and Ekrin Athletics has always been one of the most helpful and responsive companies. They also offer an impressive 2 year warranty.
The massage gun itself is strong and durable, with its 15° angled handle, ergonomically designed for multiple gripping positions so that all parts of the body are easily accessible. As can be seen on the picture above, it comes with 4 plug-in heads and a custom travel case for travelling.
One thing that really impressed us was the stall of 56 pounds (only 4 pounds compared to the upper Theragun’s 60) and the only slightly lower amplitude of 12 mm. This is a powerful gun, especially for a massage gun for this price. With 5 speeds up to 3200 rpm, the performance of this massage gun is probably closest to the Hypervolt (which we’ll talk about later in this article), but the B37 is much more affordable.
The massager itself is quite light and easy to use, but heavy enough to be strong and durable (it’s not a fragile toy!). The high-quality lithium-ion battery gives you more than enough time – about 4 hours on a charge – especially since most people use the massage gun for a session of just 10-15 minutes.
Because we enjoyed using this product and thought it was a great investment, we were able to offer our readers an exclusive 20% discount on the for the . Visit the official website and use our promo code TFF20and save $46!

Theragun G3Pro (best and most powerful high-tech massage gun)
The Theragun G3Pro is our best choice for the massage gun for 2020. This is the most expensive model on the list (although it is currently reduced by $150), but we believe its characteristics more than justify its cost. It is powerful and high quality and is one of the most popular on the market. This massage gun weighs about 3 pounds and is not the quietest (70-75 dB), but it is actually 50% quieter than its predecessor, the G2Pro.
It is used and supported by many leading professional athletes and coaches, football and basketball players and other athletes around the world. However, this does not mean that it is reserved for the elite, it is a masseur that any sports or fitness enthusiast (regardless of his level) can own and use without leaving the house.
Powerful shock mechanisms deliver up to 2,400 rpm (with 2 speed settings) and support up to 60 lbs or to relieve spasms, cramps, knots or tension without stopping The triangular shape and 4 angle adjustable lever gives access to all parts of the bodywork, especially the rear. The amplitude of in 16 mm – the highest available – is just our favourite alternative to Theragun, Pulse FX (the next on the way). The amplitude indicates the depth at which the massage head touches the muscle, and a higher amplitude = more force.
The Theragun G3Pro comes with 2 replaceable batteries (total running time 150 minutes, 75 minutes each). The package also includes 6 professional tips, a shock absorber, a large ball, a standard ball, a wedge, a thumb and a cone (thesis – massage heads and tips). These precisely designed shapes are suitable for everyone and make it easy to address any muscle group in the relief zone. You will also receive a black travel bag with which you can easily take it with you, whether you are travelling or just want to go to the gym.
The following website is our place to shop and offers a great discount:
(possibility of payment in instalments)
As mentioned above, this is the most expensive model, but the is worth the investment of if you can afford it (especially if you find it in a shop). It is extremely durable, so it should last many years! However, if you are a bit short on budget and are looking for a product with similar features, read about the best options. Our next choice, Lifepro Pulse FX, is with Theragun one of the most popular brands of, and works just as well (with some differences), but much cheaper!
Lifepro Pulse FX (best Dragan alternative)
Many buyers really want the Theragun G3Pro, simply because it is known as the reference in massage guns and is very popular with celebrities and professionals. It was one of the first to appear on the market and is still one of the most powerful. However, for $599 it is VERY expensive and if you look at the reviews of the massage gun, you will see that there are models with similar features, but cheaper. Lifepro Pulse FX is our preferred alternative for Theragun.
Not only does it look a bit like it (similar ergonomic shape with adjustable tilt head), but it also looks a lot like it in terms of power and performance. If you choose this option instead of Theragun, you really don’t miss much (except the name).
In fact, you will notice that Pulse FX has the same 60 pounds bias, the same 16mm amplitude, and in fact a higher speed of 3200. This means that in terms of performance it is equivalent to one of the most expensive models on the market.

Where he really wins is battery life. It does not have a removable battery, but the battery can operate for up to 7 hours on a single charge. That’s long enough for a massage gun.
In case you’re wondering why Kraftgun isn’t on that list: Pulse FX is almost exactly the same product (maybe even from another manufacturer, but with a different brand) Kraftgun has delivery problems, although – it takes 6 to 9 weeks to ship it, the LONG is waiting for someone. Lifepro offers a fast and free delivery of from and has a large stock.
Almost half the price of the Theragun (and with the included charging station), Pulse FX gives you a much bigger explosion in front of your hand.

Hypervolt (best portable stimulator)
Hyperis differs from the G3 Pro in several ways. First of all, it’s much quieter than the Theragun (which goes up to 75 decibels) – Hypervolt only registers 60-65 at its maximum value. The shape of the hyperwolf is almost that of a T or 7 mm, and he is lighter (about 2.5 pounds). Unlike the Theragun, the main arm of the Hyperwolf is not adjustable, so you cannot change the angle to reach different parts of the body. That’s okay, because you should still be able to hit the target areas (but maybe with a little more twist and turn!).
The battery compartment is larger and the battery should operate for up to 3 hours and is rechargeable (charging time approx. 2 hours). The Hyperice Hypervolt has 3 speed settings and delivers up to 3200 strokes per minute. Although it has a higher speed than the Theragun 2400 (speed generally determines the intensity of the massage), the Theragun has a higher amplitude and is therefore more intense, even though the speed is lower.
Although you may not even notice if you do the test twice in a row, Theragun can give you a more aggressive massage (which can be to their advantage, or you may prefer a (slightly) less intense hypervolt massage). Whichever model you choose, you will get an excellent deep tissue massage and with different speed settings you can get the desired relief from any model.
A few more things about Hypervolt before we finish this brief overview: It comes with several 5 bits that can be focused on different specific areas and muscle problems such as ball, lining, fork, pad and flat head. They do not come with an extra suitcase or battery, so they cost a little more if you want to invest in them (they are handy, but not necessary).
If you’re looking for something a little more powerful, there’s also the Hypervolt Plus model (it’s slightly more expensive, but 30% more powerful – here’s a comparison of the two models).
All in all, it is an excellent massager, and whether you choose this device or our first choice, you will certainly be very pleased with the power and versatility it offers!
If you are new to the massage industry and are still unwilling to pay the maximum price for a product that you are not sure to use regularly, we offer cheaper options. Our next choice is the TimTam Power Massager.
TimTam: all new power massagers (silent + best package deal)
This portable massager is actually much quieter than the Theragun, is available in 25dB and its is much cheaper than the. If noise reduction and money saving are your priorities, this massage gun may be more suited to you.
The battery lasts for an hour on a single charge, which is more than enough for a good massage, but you will need to recharge it more often.
The TimTam is lighter than the TheraGun, weighs only 2.2 pounds and comes with a carrying bag. The light weight is useful for users with weak wrists or pain in the wrist.
This device contains only one head of the round black bullet at the end of the massage gun; if you want different heads, you have to buy them separately. You can change the basic attachment of the massage to attack different muscle groups or body parts. It’s just high speed, pull the trigger and it disappears. TimTam has the same stall force as the other instruments mentioned above and delivers 2500 rpm.
The Timtam brand appeared in the popular Joe Rogan Experience podcast (for more details, see the official website here).
Lifepro Sonic (the best affordable massage gun for $150)
At first glance this device looks like a T-shaped hand drill It has 5 speeds and 5 interchangeable heads or accessories. Speeds increase in steps from low to high power, with 20 Hz as the lowest and 45 Hz as the highest. Interchangeable heads give access to all parts of the body that are difficult to reach, such as the back.
This device delivers 70 pounds of force per muscle group or part of the target body, which is actually more than our top-of-the-line gun (the Theragun delivers about 60 pounds of force, which is still LOT force). It has a lower amplitude of 12 mm, but this is still more than enough for most users.
Speed and force can be adjusted without having to pull the trigger, which means you can work in the desired area with full use of your hand.
The battery has two rechargeable versions, one in the barrel and the other connected to the mains. This device will not inflate your account balance, and it is much cheaper than most high-end massage guns on the market. What’s more, it comes with an impressive lifetime warranty. After a thorough study of this model, we came to the conclusion that it is certainly one of the cheapest purchases.
The best place to buy is the official LifeproFitness website (FREE shipping and the best discounts). This is a very strong and powerful massage gun that is in many ways as good as the most expensive brands.

Surprisingly, the price of the Exerscribe is quite similar to our top model TheraGun in power, frequency and amplitude. It also comes with two batteries, 3 massage heads, a carrying case and 6 gears. You do not need to hold down the shutter button, one click to turn it on and one click to turn it off.
This device is one of the cheapest guns on the market, but it still gets very positive feedback from users who say it’s more than just a job. However, it has a number of drawbacks (to be expected at this price level).
The materials from which they are made, for example, do not look as strong as the two upper parts. In fact, the massage ball is made of hard, durable foam that gives the product a slightly cheaper appearance, but it really does its job.
Remember that this is NOT quiet, and that noise can be a problem for some users.
It’s about 80-100 decibels, which is much stronger at than all the others we’ve mentioned. However, if the sound doesn’t bother you (you may have to wear earplugs if you wear a gun on your shoulder or neck), then it’s a good product for the price.
Gesher Deep Tissue Massager for deep tissue massage (longer battery life – up to 8 hours)
Gocer is quite light, weighs just over 2 pounds, comes with 4 heads and can work for up to 8 hours at full load. It depends on the level of use, but in comparison, some of the more expensive models only last one and a half to three hours in one go.
At low speed it is one of the quietest models (only about 35 dB), but at high speed it reaches about 60 dB.
In fact, it has 20 speed levels from 1200 to 3180 strokes per minute. Even though you never need so many speed settings, it’s always fun to have a wide choice!
The entire outer shell is made of nylon and fiberglass, which is very durable and will last for many years. It is advertised as a falconry blanket, which means it should not break when falling from a height of six feet. I wouldn’t put that theory to the test!
There is also a heat dissipation function to prevent the massager from overheating (which is sometimes a problem for cheaper models).
Why did you choose them? It offers excellent user feedback, is lightweight, has a lifespan of 8 hours per load and is very quiet (especially at low speeds). Like Sonic and Exerscribe, it is also one of the most affordable models on the market.
I did not see the suitcase mentioned in the ad, and at a low price I did not expect, but it actually comes with a nice integrated suitcase for your masseur and accessories.
What is a massage gun and what does it do?
It is a portable device that delivers concentrated pressure impulses deep into the muscle tissue. We all have experience with massage therapy in different stages of life, but this is a completely different concept: you don’t need a masseur because he will do the same work (and at a much lower price!) without leaving the house.
The purpose of this type of deep tissue massage is to relieve sore muscles by working on knots and releasing tension. Rapid impulses from the impact of a massage gun are used to soften deep muscle tissue. This has a long-lasting relaxing effect on your sick and tired muscles and offers a more targeted massage than a vibrating foam roller. It also increases blood circulation and range of motion and shortens recovery time after training.
These massagers are often used by physiotherapists/professionals to minimize the muscle and joint pain patients are worried about. The good news is that you can buy and own your own staff. You can use it after the gym or just at home if you need it.
Advantages of the massage gun
Having one of these elements has many advantages:
- Relieves pain in the soft tissue
- Lactic acid product
- Accelerates muscle recovery
- Stimulates muscle growth
- Significantly improves circulation and blood flow
- Improves your range of motion
- Stretch the muscles gradually and gently (improves their mobility).
It is no secret that these relatively new masseurs can provide much-needed relief to professional athletes who can play sports. But it’s not just for professionals: anyone, from the average gymnast or sports fan to the person with muscle problems, can benefit from the use of a massage gun.
How to use a massage gun
This portable device is very easy to use. If you want to know how to use the massage gun, just place it in the target area and let it work. There are a few things you should consider:
Start by turning it on so your head starts knocking. Then, slowly but surely, you float along the muscle you want to relax or warm up to prepare for the workout (or to recover). Keep in mind that there is no need to push your part, there is no need to use force. It’s the impulses that do all the work. If you experience extra bumps or pain in the muscle tissue, just rest a little longer and the impulses will bring you relief again.
The following video shows the hypervolt used for the feet (all massage guns are used in the same way):
What should I pay attention to when buying amassage gun?
- Speed and power – The speed and power settings you choose depend on your needs. Are you looking for a deep, intensive massage after an intensive workout or just a relaxing massage to relieve muscle soreness?
- Kind of movement – Do you just want vibration, vibration plus shaking, vibration plus circular movements or a combination of all these massage techniques?
- Size/Displacement – If you travel a lot and need a warranty for massage guns, you will need models that fit in your bag or suitcase, preferably one with your own carrying bag. Although these weapons are hand-operated, some of them can be bulky and weigh several kilos.
- Nozzles and accessories – The number of nozzles and accessories depends on the muscle you wish to massage. When it comes to large parts of the body, such as the back, legs or hands, you don’t need too much. If you want to massage your legs or neck, you need extra accessories (most masseurs offer different accessories).
- Battery power (battery life) – Battery power is very important. You don’t want it to go out too fast if you can’t recharge the battery. Some massage guns come with a spare battery that you can use while another gun is being charged.
- Prices and costs – The massage gun should be included in your budget The most expensive one usually offers more speed, power and freedom of movement. The cheaper it is, the lower the decimal power (although this is not always the case).
So, are you ready to try a massage gun?
A massage gun can literally change your life if you suffer from any kind of muscle pain, be it training pain, general pain or even a condition such as sciatica. It is a great opportunity to get a (almost) professional massage, at the time and place of your choice. Most have many different types of jets that can help you focus your massage on any muscle group or part of the body.
Although some of them can be expensive (our best choice, of course), you can buy an alternative model for as little as $150 if your budget is tight. Remember that this is an investment in your health and will ultimately be much less expensive than regular visits to a masseur to work on sprains and help with muscle recovery. If you’re not sure if you need a shock massager, it’s worth visiting a site like Amazon to see what real users have to say about the best massage gun of 2020:
